This exclusive offering is in honor of Juneteenth, an American holiday celebrating the day the last enslaved people in Texas learned that they were no longer in bondage on June 19, 1865. Naima has dyed a Kente cloth inspired yarn called 40 Acres and a coordinating mini called Mule in commemoration of the 40 acres and a mule promised to freed people, but never fulfilled. 40 Acres is a 100g skein is 75/25 merino and nylon blend in a yellow base with speckles of red, green, blue, with 437 yards. Mule is the coordinating 90 yard mini skein in a tonal crimson for heels, cuffs, and toes but you can do what you want with it! Maybe a sock with bobbles, or a few stripes--let the yarn lead you and make what you like with it.
